Ski pyjamas as mentioned previously. I seem to remember the ones I wore as a child had buttons on the shoulder. Once they were fastened on you could not remove them.
I remember these pyjamas which were the 'ladybird' brand which would button up at the shoulder in the same way. When I was a child in the 60's & 70's my Mother would always buy these for my brother and myself. Bathtime was usually quite early at night and we were usually bathed and ready for bed by about 6pm each night, and bedtime would always be 7pm.. Quie often if it was a weekend or holiday we would not be allowed to get dressed and would wear our pyjamas all day, and sometimes our Mum would take us out to the shops in them which we would hate.
